Day 81

This is Aaron's fish tank. He bought a few cheap goldfish to "test out the water". Well, the water is bad and we have slowly been killing off goldfish while Aaron is trying to figure out the problem. Jake loves the fish tank. He has been watching Aaron use the net to get the dead ones out and likes to help.

Aaron keeps the net and fish food up high in the rafters out of Jake's reach.
This is Aaron's study room and so there is a chair in this room. There is also a door to this room that locks. But someone forgot to shut and lock it.
We were upstairs. Jake was downstairs. Jake came upstairs and said "This one's dead." It took a few seconds to register. Then we realized what he was holding and what he was telling us.
Yep. It was a dead goldfish. The door was open, the chair was pushed over to help assist in climbing. Not exactly sure about getting up to reach the net that was in the rafters, but we can use our imagination. And Jake was soaked from head to toe, in stinky fish water. Gross.
I kind of wish there had been a hidden camera in the room to see how he got the fish out and how he got so wet. I am sure it would make for some good entertainment.
Calvin strikes again.

Oh, Calvin!
It makes for a great story, though.
And it is a little scary to think of just HOW he got that net down.
