Love this Baby!

I cannot believe Jake is 3 months old! I am having a hard time watching him get big. I feel like the time is going too fast and I want to treasure every second. He is growing into such a fun and happy boy with the sweetest smile.
He has laughed just a few times and it was so cute! Most of the time when he smiles he looks like he is going to bust out laughing any second, but can't quite get it out! I am totally in love with this little boy!
This is the look he gives me when he sees me...so adorable!
At 3 months Jake has discovered his hands and loves to have them in his mouth. He has also started sleeping, most nights, for 7-8 hours at a time!! Hooray! He still loves his bath and I find myself looking forward to that time with him. One of the funnest things about Jake is that he prefers me over his Dad! This is a first for the Ogden family as all of Jake's siblings preferred, and still prefer, their Dad. So I am loving it that Aaron will be trying to calm Jake down and the minute I take him, he is fine...sorry Aaron! I love it!
Noah, Grace and Lucy still adore their little brother and have been very helpful. They love to hold him and talk to him and Noah loves to hold Jake and bounce him if my hands are busy.
I have 4 great kids and I feel so lucky to be their Mom.

Freckle Nose

While at the pool one afternoon, I noticed Lucy was starting to get freckles on her nose. SO Cute! So I tried to get a picture of her cute freckle nose. She had so much fun posing for me and I fully enjoyed taking her picture! I don't know how well you can see the freckles, but they are still cute pictures of my sweet Lucy Belle!

More of Texas

When we went to Seaworld the kids really wanted to get wet at the shows. So we always sat in the "splash zone." Jake was a good sport and we tried to keep him dry through all the splashing!

On our last day in Austin, we went for a hike into this beautiful lake. Jake loved being outside and was wide awake through the whole hike! I think he was enjoying the green scenery as much as I was.

A Texas Roadtrip...family style!

Jake had his first roadtrip and he was so good! Our 15 hour drive to and from Austin Texas went well and we loved introducing Jake to his Uncle Jeff, Aunt Brenna and cousins Jackson & James. We were so busy and did so many fun things. Jake spent a lot of time in his carseat, stroller and front pack.
This is at the swimming pool...I wish I could nap poolside!

Noah took this picture outside of the Children's Museum.

We went to a great park in downtown Austin and Jake had his first train ride on the Zilker zephyr. The train ride came at a bad time as Jake was hungry! So feeding him on a little train squished next to Lucy and Noah proved to be quite interesting. But we survived.

2 brothers on a train...one day this could be Trouble!

I Love Lucy!

Little Fish

Noah and Grace love to swim. They were so excited to see that Jeff and Brenna had a pool in their neighborhood. One afternoon I took Noah and Grace down to the pool while Brenna stayed with the little ones at home. They had so much fun despite the cold water! I loved taking pictures of them and watching them without the distractions of my other little swimmers.

Lucy and Shampu...I mean Shamu!

We loved Sea World in Austin. The kids were so excited to see the animals and more importantly to get wet at the shows. So while at the Shamu show, or as Lucy calls it, the Shampu show, we were sitting a little too high up to get wet. About halfway through the show, we sent the kids down to the front row. Well, they did get wet...really wet! And Lucy decided that was not so great after all. Watch this clip and you will see what I mean!

Austin City Limits!

We had a great week in Austin Texas! You can't go to Austin without experiencing the famous "Austin City Limits." So the kids rocked out on stage. Don't you love Lucy's tu-tu ?

A Blessing

Have I told you how much I love these sweet kids?

I feel so blessed!
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Bird and Great Grandma and Grandpa for making the trip out to Omaha. We were so happy to have you share in this special day. We loved having you!

Practicing for Parenthood

Aunt Krista got in some practice while visiting us. She is expecting a little girl in July and was able to practice her parenting skills on Jake. She is going to be a great Mom!

We are excited to see Uncle Mark as a dad. He is going to be great!

Easter in Omaha

We went to the base easter egg hunt and the kids brought home a ton of candy! They all had different styles of "hunting" Let me explain:

Noah had a strategy and was planning his attack with the goal of filling his bucket to the top. He got right in there and collected candy as fast as he could.

Lucy was so thrilled to see candy all over the ground! She even picked some up right next to some guys feet! She is my candy addict and thought it was great to see so much candy and we were telling her to go get it!

Grace had a little bit of a different strategy. She just enjoyed walking around "noticing" candy at her feet, but was not picking it up. She was too shy to pick any up! With a little coaxing, she had a full basket by the end of the hunt.

And then there's Aaron.
He strategized, warmed up, and raced out there. But then he stopped at the outskirts of the crowd to pick up just a few pieces of candy. So I guess you could say Noah and Grace both get their competative spirit from their Dad. Noah got the strategy gene, and Grace got the reserved gene. And Lucy just loves candy!

Easter Guests

We love you Mark and Krista!

We were so excited to have Uncle Mark and Aunt Krista visit us and spend Easter with us! Thanks for making that long drive from Salt Lake, we had a great time with you.
