The Start of Our Vacation

Grandma and Grandpa Bird came to Omaha and brought Wendy and her 3 kids! We were so excited to have visitors and did some fun things while they were at our house. We went swimming, went to the zoo, played in the sprinklers and caught fireflies.

Olivia loved catching fireflies and kept them in a jar. The kids loved showing their cousins where we live and what we do!Thanks for making the long trip out to our house. We loved having you!

At the end of the week, we began our road trip out west. Grandma and Grandpa had driven a motorhome to our house and we had a great road trip mapped out. It started at IHOP and was going to end in Idaho Falls at my Grandpa's 80th birthday party.

Here we go!

Celebrating Noah's 9th Birthday and Grace's 7th Birthday!
We were sad that Aaron was out of town for the party, but we still managed to have a big backyard party and lots of fun!

The boys decided to attack the girls with the water guns. The girls came crying to me and so I said, "Don't get mad, get even!" That started a great water fight that was fun to watch!

Crazy Boys.

Sweet Girls.

Opening presents from each other.

Grace got a new scooter!
The 2 birthday kids after eating their breakfast in bed.
Jake had to get in on the action.
We had a great day!

Beautiful Ballerina

Lucy has loved her ballet class this past year. She is such a beautiful dancer and I loved watching her each week.

Lucy ended her dance class with a dance recital and was so excited about dancing on the big stage. She did not get nervous at all! She did a great job and we were so proud of her.

She did a ballet dance and a tap dance. She knew both of the dances perfectly and smiled through the whole thing.

One of the "backstage moms" had glitter for all the girls. When Lucy saw herself in the mirror she yelled "I look so beautiful!"

Kansas City

We had a great time in Kansas City visiting our friends, the Jeppsons. The boys went critter hunting and had a great time. I can't believe Noah is holding snakes!

Lucy and Asher struck up a great friendship. They were so cute together.

Asher did not want me to take a picture of him. But I just couldn't resist!

After the boys got back from their hunting excursion, we met for lunch at a fantastic restaurant. We had some great KC bbq and then headed to the pool. Thanks Jeppson's for a wonderful time!
