We have been loving the warm weather and have been spending some time on our bikes. Lucy is getting really good at riding her bike and once she is over her fear of hills, it will be smooth sailing! But for now, we spend a lot of time trying to convince her to not push on her brakes every 2 seconds.

Cute Friends
One of the drawbacks of the being in the military is that we have to say goodbye a lot. Lucy has had to say goodbye to 2 of her close friends recently. She still talks about Avery who moved away a few months ago and asks to move to Colorado to be by Avery again. And now another friend has left and she is torn between moving to Colorado or to Washington D.C. to be with her friend Grace. I hope we cross paths with these great families again.

You Can Do It Birthday Boy!
After they were done playing, we loaded up in the car and told Aaron to pick where we were going for dinner. After much discussion (mostly the kids trying to convince him where the best place to go would be) we ended up at China Buffet. After dinner, we surprised Aaron with a trip to the store to buy him a new bike! I do not know who was more excited, the kids or Aaron. After purchasing the bike, we realized we could not get it home in our car. So Aaron decided to ride it home. Luckily we were not too far away. The kids thought it was great fun watching Aaron ride his new bike and started cheering him on as he struggled up the hill to our house. Noah rolled down the window and yelled, "You can do it birthday boy!" It was a great moment.

Spring Visitors
Grandma and Grandpa arrived Friday afternoon and we enjoyed a fun evening at home with them. Then Saturday we took them to the Air and Space Museum which was very cool. We had not been there before and my kids loved it. We watched conference and played games and had fun spending the day together. On Sunday we spent the day watching conference together. Grandma helped my kids with conference packets and played so many games with them. Monday was spent visiting Aaron at work and going out to lunch. Grandma spent a lot of time playing games and coloring with Lucy while the older kids were at school.
When everyone got home, Grandma did some Yoga with the kids
We had a small birthday party for Grandma and the kids loved helping her blow out her 6 candles.
Noah had a music concert at school that evening and he was so happy that Grandma and Grandpa were able to come to that before heading home. Thanks for a fun visit Grandma and Grandpa! We miss you already and can't wait to see you this summer.

PB&J
Jake has been my pickiest eater. He gives most foods one look and throws them across the room. Sometimes he will actually touch a new food which is usually followed by a look of disgust which is followed by the food being thrown as far away from him as he can manage. But today was different. I have tried pb&j's before with no luck. But today Jake actually tasted it and he liked it.
