Kicking Off Easter Weekend
Saturday was a really fun day. Jeff and Brenna spent the day downtown doing a race while the kids got to stay with us! We had a great time. The kids were so excited to have an easter egg hunt. We decided we needed to wait for Janie to wake up from her nap before we started. So to pass the time, they took turns hiding the empty eggs for each other. I think they may have done this for over an hour.
We had a few rules so that the big kids didn't take too many before the little kids could get them. 1 rule was that all of the pink eggs were for Janie. I love this picture of Lucy and Jackson helping Janie find a pink egg.
As soon as Janie woke up, they were ready for the real thing! So we filled the eggs and I hid them while they all waited in the basement. As you can see from this picture, they were very anxious, except Janie who I think was still waking up.

Spring Break Day 2 - 3
We had a day at home playing in the water, jumping on the trampoline, and running around the yard.
On Thursday we went to an indoor pool. I did not take any pictures, but we had so much fun. My kids love the water and I love watching them swim all over. After swimming we had a picnic lunch before heading home.

Spring Break Day 1
We loved spending our spring break with cousins!
For lunch we decided to stop at Costco for $1 hot dogs and ate them at a park by the airport. The kids loved watching the airplanes take off over their heads. It was a great little spot because there was also a train track, bike path, and you could see the freeway. So we had a planes, trains and automobiles (and bikes) experience!
On Tuesday we went to the Children's Garden. It was very pretty, right on the banks of the Potomac, and the kids had fun running around and digging.

Don't tell Janie's parents, but I am going to take her with me when we move in a few weeks.

Aaron's Birthday and Noah's Play
Happy 38th Birthday!
For Aaron's present, the kids made a candy gram. But this was not just any candy gram. The kids wrote the message but left blanks where the candy went. So Aaron had to figure out which candy went where. Their favorite line was , "you "crack" (crackers) us up because you are so "cheesy" (spray cheese). "
As part of the birthday party, we went to see Noah's school play. His 5th grade class did a musical about medieval times. Noah was a peasant wood collector. He had some great lines and did a fantastic job.
